Therese Ivers assists women in discerning their vocations and coordinates diocesan efforts to inculcate a positive culture of vocations in parish and family life. Miss Ivers is a consecrated virgin. She holds a diploma from the Vatican in the Theology and Law of Consecrated Life and also works in the Diocesan Tribunal as a Judge.
Therese grew up in Southern California with two younger brothers. She grew up playing the flute and being involved in various forms of volunteer work. After completing about two years of classes in different colleges, Therese went on to study for four years at Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, CA, for her BA in Liberal Arts.
After receiving her degree, Therese thought about becoming a canon laywer and so she volunteered for a while at the Metropolitan Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to test the waters. Working in the Tribunal affirmed her in her desire to get her degree in canon law, and so she went to Rome to study at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas. In 2008, she received her license in canon law. Because she was interested in pursuing consecrated life law as one of her specializations, she also attended a two year course at the Vatican on the Theology and Law of Consecrated Life and received a diploma in 2008
